This script for this film was in the plan since June 2023, so in August, finally the writing started. The ending sequence in the story was written with the help of Kiril Nebrezanec and Kire Jovceski. The first draft of the script was ready on August 24. I was very happy about it because it was my first time writing crime/mystery script with some comedy parts. I had no particular inspiration from other projects, maybe a little from Knives Out, but I wanted to write a script that would be a ball party and take place in the 70s in Yugoslavia.

Because I'm also the director (and editor -- probably) of the film, In April 2024, I started "mini pre-production" where I researched references from other films for shots that I wanted to be in the film, and so far I am satisfied. I called this "mini-pre-production" because the big pre-production is underway where the casting, budget, location, costumes, and so on will be planned. I also started to "unofficially" announce the film on my Instagram story, something like a tease to the audience.

 

The story in the film is set in Bitola in 1973 and hopefully will be the first Macedonian "Whodunit" film. For someone who doesn't know, "Whodunit" means a murder mystery story where the murderer is not revealed until the end. The script was sent to a few of my friends to get their opinions. Everyone was satisfied with the script and the story itself because this is an original story never seen before in Macedonian cinema. They laughed, they were touched to the heart and also shocked by the unexpected moments in it. The film is like I said a crime mystery, which means there will be a big plot twist.
 

The film will have a message for the audience, which is that you should not always trust everyone, even those who are the best with you, because one of them is always plotting something behind your back. From someone you least expect, will do the most unexpected thing. I can't wait you to see it the finished product.
